The shutdown procedure

On December 21st all the DAQ will be shut down. Only the machines on the ListOfMachinesKeptUp will be left running. If the validation of the new storage-system is finished, the remaining servers will be migrated and rebooted.

Monitoring

A special Icinga instance will monitor the remaining machines. And alarm will be sent in case machines are not ping-able, not ssh-able or not reachable via remote desktop. This alarm will also go out as an SMS to a select group of people.
