Announcements about shifts

  • Between Thursday 25th of August until Friday 16th of September, the LHC has stopped beam operations.
  • The shifts are then reorganized like this:
    • night shifts are cancelled between today Thursday 25th August until Sunday 4th of September included. Future night shifts may be cancelled in a week's time based on the LHC progress and the LHCb progress.
    • daytime shifts are maintained, week-ends included. Week-end shifts should be used to run the detector in global as much as possible recording cosmics.
    • daytime shifts are with reduced time: from 8am to 9pm with changeover at 2.30pm as usual.
  • Already assigned shifts are still counted in the ShiftDB. It would be appreciated if any of the night shifters that will not be doing shifts can take future shifts or still available shifts.

  • If you need to use the shuttle, this is still working. However, it goes with the usual timetable (6.30am in hte morning and 10.30pm in the evening), so I suggest you organize for carpooling or use public transportation. • The entire 2022 year is open for Self-Assignment.
